History Of Rising North Festival
A group of local musicians got together and decided a music festival in Shetland should be an annual event. The amazing feedback about the local talent show cased at the tall ships inspired us to get a committee together and form “Rising North”.
The core of the committee included Anthony Peart, David Bisset, Taylor Pirie, Arthur Nicholson, Joe Robertson, Arron Peart & Jack Jamieson.
The 2024 festival ran over 3 days, 16th, 17th & 18th of August. The main event being in Clickimin on the 17th with two stages and over 20 bands. It will also be family friendly through the day.
